The Great Gatsby
In F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, The Great Gatsby, he portrays many ways in which it is proven that love cannot be bought by money, no matter what the circumstances are. Gatsby thought that because he had money, that Daisy would come back to him. Tom thought that he could buy Daisy’s love by money. Tom also bought Myrtle’s love through money.

Fitzgerald shows many visible signs in which it is true that money cannot buy true love. Love should come from within and should not matter what is on the outside. If the characters in this story really possessed real love for each other, then they would have not put each other through all this pain and agony.
