Even though Meursault can be a cold seemingly heartless person at times, he does show tendencies to be somewhat of a compassionate person too. The lack of morals, sensitivity and the callousness are just several of the many personal characteristics that make up Meursault’s complex personality. Looking at Meursault’s many vices from an outsiders point of view makes one realize one’s own flaws and can help them strive to perfect them.
