The skeleton is very important and has several jobs, some of
which are to support us ,and to protect organs. Without bones I couldn't type because my fingers would be a shapeless soft mass. As a baby you have over 300 bones made of mostly cartilage. Cartilage is a soft "mushy" substance that acts as a pad. As you reach adulthood the cartilage turns to bone, and some of your baby bones join
