I read The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. It is a relatively new book about the coming of age of a young, teenage boy named Charlie. The book is written as a series of letters written to a person that Charlie doesn’t know, and that person is the reader. Throughout each letter the reader finds out more about Charlie and his life. he feels, and about his friendships. Charlie is a wallflower, someone who doesn’t partake in life, just views it. He at a young age experiences many things; death, suicide, and loneliness. These things make Charlie grow into the person he is and shapes his mind. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone out there that feels they alone. Because after reading this, they’ll realize that they are the majority.
