In John Grisham’s novel, The Client, he portrays an eleven-year-old Mark to be tough and persuasive as he faces both of these daunting adversaries. John Grisham uses the David-Goliath effect to grab the readers’ attention and hold onto it until the end.

Grisham successfully maintained the underdog theme throughout this novel and has used this style in other novels including The Rainmaker. I believe John Grisham’s well-developed characters and unexpected plot twists held my interest and provided entertaining reading. I would recommend this book to a friend.
