upbringing is undoubtedly a reason for her ideas and views on women in this novel. Chopin saw the feminist movement just start to arise as she was growing up. So she saw women make vast changes for themselves, and to our future for women, when she was in her older years. Because of these reasons, I feel that Kate Chopin was able to make very accurate predictions of what the future would hold for women.
