control laws, the American public desperately needs the crime rate to diminish. Certainly, there will always be some type of crime in the United States, but if America does not have the will to address these crime problems, criminality can do only one thing – increase. If more prisons, police officers, or treatment programs are needed for America’s crime rate to decrease, then this is the price that must be paid for a safer society.
