Discuss the view that the media influences aggression
The question of whether the media influences aggression has recently become an area of great interest. More specifically, the area of whether aggression and violence is having a detrimental effect on children, and therefore is one of the causes in the recorded number of youth violent crimes.

Therefore, the answer to the original question of - Does television violence cause aggression? , would seem to be that it certainly has the potential increase aggressive behaviour, but that other factors must also be involved in order for it to have a great effect on behaviour.
