Strange and Inhuman
In almost all of the reading you encounter in your adult life you come across many characters that basically think or act the same. They feel the same way about certain situations that occur in life. They are so mentally or physically attached to something they can’t let go. For examples we are using the characters Dorian Gray from the novel Picture of Dorian Gray and Tom Ripley from

see that there are definite similarities in the values and attitudes of Tom Ripley and Dorian Gray. Tom admired others and didn’t like his own self image unless he pretended to be someone else. Dorian admired himself when he had the painting and was looked upon by others as the model human. The problems that these two characters have are dangerous psychological problems that both ended up sadly in death and murder.
