It is evident in these temptations that Gawain was being tested. The final outcome of the story makes it possible to see that Lord Bercilak and his wife planned the hunts and temptations to coincide with each other. If this is true or not, Sir Gawain has proven his honor during his short stay at the Hautdesert Castle.
