Schizophrenia is one of the most well-known and notorious mental diseases around. Although scientists know quite a bit about this debilitating disease there is still much more to be discovered. Some of the mysteries of schizophrenia include definite causes, characterized symptoms and a cure.

Whether schizophrenia is genetic or environmental, or a combination of many factors, one thing is for certain: people with this disease are prisoners of their own mind.
