Green, orange and brown blended together in the water. Half empty trees towered above me at the edge and as the wind blew; tokens of approaching winter fell into the water. There was laughing, cheering even, familiar faces were all around me. We pushed off the dock and sailed out of the tiny bay. The wind was fierce that day, perfect for sailing. It blew the ocean’s mist into my face, cooling it

boat just seemed to bring us together. I’m not really quite sure what it was that was so magical about our boat. Maybe it was the air, or maybe it was the ocean, but I think it must have been just being together without a care in the world. In more ways than one our sailboat healed us all, and made us a family. That is something I’m not likely to soon forget.
