Rwanda is located in Central Africa, east of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Rwanda was inhabited by two ancient African tribes; known as the Tutsi and Hutu. The European colonists, who thought the Tutsis were the nobles of the land, put them in power over Rwanda, even though they only made up about 15% of the population.
