Rosalind Elise Franklin was born on July 25, 1920 in London, England, and died on April 16, 1958 in London, England of ovarian cancer at the young age of 37. Rosalind Franklin made considerable strides not only for women of her time but also for the future of modern science. Without Rosalind?s X-ray, photographs Watson would never have solved the final piece of the puzzle to the DNA structure model.
