Myth of Sisyphus
Sisyphus is shown as a heroic being whose only reason for being is to
push a rock up a hill forever. He rises above despair and reasons that pushing
the rock is a noble activity. He does what he is supposed to and is satisfied

police officer, and the homeless man all end up the same in the end, and
Sisyphus will still be pushing that rock. He must live in the present or else he
will hate every moment of pain and hardship he endures and he will be doing
it all for nothing, which would result in an eternity of pain instead of eternity
of hope. That is why he must live in the present.
