As you lie sleeping
I watch for your breath
I know your not dreaming
Because this sleep is death
And as I stand watching
Other walk by
Giving you flowers
Some stop to cry
But still I stand looking
Refusing your rest
I watch for your breathing
Eyes on your chest
You lie in your best clothes
Your smile is unknown
Your eyes are unseeing
No breath shall be shown
But
