Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain of Africa, NE Tanzania, but it wasn’t always a mountain it was a volcano but now it is extinct. Mt. Kilimanjaro has two snowcapped peaks, Uhuru (Kibo)
(19,340 ft/5,895 m, Africa's highest point) and Mawenzi (17,564 ft/5,354 m), these two peaks are connected by a broad saddle which has an altitude of 15,000 ft/4,600 m.
