White’s lack of clarity what he is trying to prove. In regard to the stirrup, I wasn’t sure if even he had convinced himself of his own theories. The book did pose some very interesting thesis statements. The book does seem dated, but I still feel that overall, it was a very good book, which sparks learning and thinking. I believe that this was Mr. White’s purpose for the book.
