It has long been debated whether in the play “Medea,” Medea was attempting vengeance or justice on Jason. Medea caused Jason more pain then Jason could have ever caused her. If Medea achieved justice, Jason and her would be equal, but they aren’t near that. Medea has a life now, when Jason has nothing. That isn’t justice, that is vengeance.
