Usually writers are remembered for their uniqueness as a storyteller. One reason may be for the story’s tension, humor, sadness or other quality. Many writers want to add special elements to their writing that would interest the reader.
For example, Mark Twain and his short story, “The Notorious Jumping Frog Of Calaveras County.” In this story Twain wants to attract the reader, by doing so he used ways to add humor to the story.

or didn’t overcome them. The man’s fire was put out, when snow fell on it. When he proceeded to start a new one he was unsuccessful. The man gave up and died of frost bite. London showed the difficulty of trying to overcome nature. This attracted readers because of its reality.
As you can see the ways a writer sets up his stories can really make a difference in how he is viewed.
