died hereafter; There would have been a time for such a word”. This just shows he cares nothing at all that his wife has just died, and he remarks that she should have waited to die, for a more appropriate time. This is an appalling statement that shows Macbeth as no more than a monster.
It’s hard to believe that from his original heroic status, he could turn into such an evil unrespectable person.
