“MacBeth”, although one of Shakespeare’s greatest works, disappointed me when seen on stage. Usually, acting captures the raw emotion and depth of a character’s feeling. However, in this recent portrayal, I found there was a great lack of true sentiment resulting in confusion and disarray among the student body audience.
When I read “MacBeth” by William Shakespeare, I found it to be a story of great complexity, mystery and adventure on numerous levels.

I found their performance not only genuine, but the most enjoyable.
I was thoroughly and entirely disappointed by this less than dramatic presentation of MacBeth. I went there looking forward to the twisted tale of greed and betrayal and left with a feeling of greed for those who had not seen what I had saw. Besides good scenery, lighting and stagecraft, altogether, this concert almost completely ruined my liking of the original story of “MacBeth”.
