In the novel Lord of the Flies written by William Golding the character of Simon is suggested to be a Christ-like figure. Simon is the stabilizing factor throughout the novel. He is the only one who stays true to his personal morals and beliefs even away from society just as Christ did.
The savageness of all the other boys begins to come out through the novel, but Simon stays the stabilizing factor on the island.

He continued to sit.”(133) Just as Christ tried to worn everyone around him about the Devil so did Simon. He tries to let the boys on the island know about the Lord of the Flies.
Simon shared many characteristics of Christ and handle situations in the same manner. Thus Simon appears to be Christ-like.
