In the social learning paradigm, it is possible that pornography is a determinant of sex crimes, but there is division within the ranks of these theorists on the question. I find the evidence for causal relationship compelling. Despite problems of trust (due to obvious subjectivity) with feminist rape theory, I believe that the results of the Check and Malamuth study show that pornography is a contributing factor to sex crimes.
