Two years later on November 16th of 1885 Mohandas’ life took a sudden turn when his father died, after by being ill for two years. Gandhi was not there when his father died; he had left moments before. In 1887 Gandhi applied to college, and got in at Samaldas College, but Gandhi found the studies hard and only stayed for one term. In 1888 Gandhi’s First son, Harilal, was born in India
