After reading this book that dealt with Frederick Douglas’s life, it is hard to imagine that someone could possibly grow up in such an intense and abhorrence world. Even though Frederick and his family fought through a lot of hard times, Frederick was always looking for the best for himself and his family. Frederick oversaw his problems and later became a notable writer.

a little time and effort. I would like to tell you that this is one of the best books that I have read dealing with slavery. Frederick Douglas grabbed my attention and made me feel as if I was right there with him when he wrote this. He explained many things that I have never known and I think his attitude toward life has set and inspiration for me to go for what I want.
