Neil’s actions were based upon the ideas from the two quotes, which were talked about earlier in the essay. He followed realized his dreams, followed it and found success. Neil spoke out about his feelings to his father, in the end the only way for him to speak out was to take his life and try to prove his point that his life meant nothing if he couldn’t follow his dreams.
