On the Amper River , about 11 miles northwest of Munich , a small
German town by the name of Dachau is found. In this town , there are paper
mills , printing shops , breweries , textile mills , and one concentration camp.
In March of 1933 , this camp was used as a training center for Nazi
soldiers. Quickly this training area was transformed into a Nazi concentration

nightmares began when the U.S. liberated the camp. U.S. soldiers
found over 30,000 survivors in the barracks. Among these survivors , there
was a total of 31 different nationalities. The captured Nazi troops had a taste
of their own doings , as they were held in the Dachau concentration camp
until the end of the Dachau war crimes trial.
