both of there hangings. John tried telling the truth that he had an affair with Abigail but Elizabeth, being a good wife, tries protecting his reputation and tells the judges that he did not. Abigail gets most of the people of Salem hung by telling all of her lies trying to keep herself out of trouble. The people of Salem, because of her actions, learned that people should not be judged without proof of evidence.
