also bloody. I believe that Poe described the corpse as still warm and also went into detail on the fact that the corpse’s insides were exposed. Dostoevskii and Poe shared common themes in these works as well as a common type of character. Dostoevskii was aware of the writing of his time and that is why the stories are alike. Dostoevskii did not steal the works of others but agreed with their ideas.
