The miseries and cruelty in the prison creates even more animosity for the system. Furthermore, since loosing one’s life is most feared, it is a good incentive for preventing recurrence or quite possibly the first occurrence of murder. No matter how much death penalty is opposed, its effectiveness when enforced properly is inevitable.
