CDR Recordable Compact Disk (CD-R) is a blank CD with the ability to be recorded onto. The unit that is used to write data to these blank CD’s is called a CD Writer or “Burner.” This unit is not unlike a normal CD drive, the difference being that it has two lasers one invisible, one visible.
