When most people hear of the word “eating disorder” they usually automatically assume that the person has some type of problem with food. Eating disorders are not a sign that a person has a problem with food, but are usually underlying problems in a person’s life. binge eating, people with bulimia usually weigh within the normal weight range for their body and height, in an effort to maintain normal body weight. Like those with anorexia, bulimics fear gaining weight, and are dissatisfied with their bodies. People with bulimia perform their acts in secrecy, they feel ashamed and disgusted, but they are relieved once they purge. Unlike anorexics, bulimics do realize they have a problem and are more likely to seek help.
