The play Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare is mainly based around the assassination of Julius Caesar. The character in charge of the assassination was the play’s tragic hero, Marcus Brutus. Aside from the political aspects and intrigue contained in the story, I think that Shakespeare was exploring the question as to whether good can ever result from evil. Even if the evil is done with the purest intentions and motives, can the ends ever justify the means?
