Personal Evaluation The film “Blood Simple” is classified in the film world as Neo-Noir, meaning New Noir. “Blood Simple” is a recent noir film. Set in 1980’s Texas, this film incorporates most of the elements that make up a quality Noir film. Ray tries to find Marty, his bosses killer, but in the end he tried to protect the one he thought killed Marty, Abby. Obviously the film had a large crime element. A P.I. Gone paid killer, marital affairs, murder and cover-ups plague each character until there deaths.
