The Scientist and Technology community eventually won by using crystal energy for weapons against the others. They began to misuse their power and eventually caused their own destruction. The way they were using the energy was destroying Atlantis. There were eruptions and Atlantis broke apart creating tidal waves that swept over Atlantis bringing it to the bottom of the ocean.
